UPLOADING OF TAX AUDIT REPORT- REQUIRES COMPLETE ACCOUNT OF A FIXED ASSET

Central Board of Direct Taxes By making amendments in the Rule 12 vide notification no 34 dated 1st May 2013 has made it compulsory for the  auditors to upload tax audit reports i.e. Form 3CA-CD/3CB-CD directly on the e filing  portal. Excel utility for the preparation of tax audit report has been provided for generating .xml file for uploading.

While uploading  the tax audit report the auditor must  possess  complete copy of account of all the assets otherwise it will be difficult to validate and generate the .xml file as the utility requires full particulars of an
asset account with exact date of purchase, sale if any and the date when the asset was put to use during the year instead of summing up the purchases/sales by providing details of additions before 30/9 and after 30/9 as was being done earlier along with modvat credits and subsidy details if any . This  is nothing but  the wastage of important time as providing full details of assets with exact dates of purchase/ sale will not serve any additional purpose. This repetition needs to be avoided to save time.
