The Controller of Certifying Authorities, Government of India has issued an office order that mandates issuance of Digital Signature Certificates only on receipt of physical application Form at the Certifying Authority s offices, along with valid supporting documents and verification and attestations thereof. This order comes into effect from 1st of October 2013.

- Use the Application Forms provided by Certifying Authority. Usage of other formats , designs or version might result in rejections.
- Ensure the Application Form is complete in all respect – all fields are filled correctly, Applicant signature is available, correct supporting documents are attached, all documents are attested and verifications have been carried out at your end.
- Ensure the Application Form and supporting documents are correctly numbered with RA authority Application No, and comes to RA office in one set.
- There is a certain verification that will happen at RA end. Hence the cycle time for issuance will be much more than the current time.
